TIM WICK (Piano/Hammond B-3)
Tim Wick was taught to play piano and Hammond organ by his grandmother, Lillian “Tommy” Fuller, as a child. She had played silent movie houses, Saturday night dances and Sunday church services. Growing up on the Mesabi Iron Range, Tim helped form a 10-piece horn band in 1971 called Loadstone.
Over the years he has performed at numerous nightclubs, concerts, musical shows, and churches around the mid-west. Tim bought his first Hammond B-3/Leslies in 1973.
In the Twin Cities area, Tim has sat at the keyboard with The Senders, Renee’ Austin, Joe T. Cook, Lonnie Knight, Sonny Rogers, The High and Mighty, Friends of Yoder, and Spots on Dice.
Some of Tim’s favorite piano players include Johnnie Johnson, Prof. Longhair, Charles Brown, Thelonious Monk, Jay McShann, and Ruben Gonzalez.
